Verify That Data is Stored in the SQL Server Database

To verify that the database has been successfully configured and that the data can be successfully processed during the ETL, perform the following procedure.

Open the Windows Client and connect to the Reporting Server.

In the Document Navigator, open the Insight DB Overview Display.

Knowledge → Insight → Displays → Insight DB Overview

Verify that:

a)   The 'Running Insight Databases' window contains one or more rows with a 'Name' that starts with 'BigDataInsight<product>XXX', where <product> matches the name of the Reporting solution that was deployed.

b)   More than 15 minutes after deployment has finished, the 'SSIS ETL Job Status Over the Last Hour' window should contain one or more rows with a Source DB of 'BDI<product>DB', where <product> matches the name of the Reporting solution that was deployed. Confirm that the 'Status' of these rows is 'Success'.

In addition, after the above steps have been successfully verified, it is possible to connect to the SQL Database Server and confirm that the tables in that database have been populated with data.
