Datamart database

The SQL Server database that is used as the long-term storage location for data after it has been processed by the SSIS packages.

The name of the database can be customized during the deployment process. If it is customized, ensure that the name is noted so it can be given to Setup when required.

ETL

Extract Transform Load. Refers to the operations that the SQL Server performs every 15 minutes to process the raw data, including, but not limited to, running the SSIS packages.

Package folder

This login will be created during the deployment. When it is created, note the username and password so they can be used when deploying reports.

Setup

The script used to deploy the SQL Reporting solution, called Setup.bat. This can be found in the deployment folder,

i.e. <Prognosis_Home>\Server\Configuration\BigDataInsight\Solutions\UC\

Setup User

MS Windows user that runs the Setup script.

The password for the currently logged in user will be required during the deployment process.

SetupReports User

Staging database

The SQLServer database that is used as a temporary storage area for raw data. The Database Collection(s) write data to this database before it is processed by the SSIS packages.

The name of the database can be customized during the deployment process. If it is customized, ensure that the name is noted so it can be given to Setup when required.

The server with SQL Server installed that will host the two databases for use by SQL Reporting solutions.

Both the hostname and the instance name of the SQL Server instance will be required during the deployment process.

SSIS Server

SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). The server with SSIS installed that will be used to run the SSIS packages. This server must also have SQL Server and the SQL Agent installed.

Both the hostname and the instance name of the SQL Server instance will be required during the deployment process.
