Pluggable Authentication Module Support

This feature is for the following platforms: LINUX UNIX

Pluggable Authentication Module (PAM) authentication will be used by default for UNIX and Linux platforms, where PAM has been configured. PAM provides a dynamic authorization system for applications and services in the UNIX and Linux environments.

If necessary, PAM support can be disabled by adding the following lines to the IRPROMGR.INI file on the Management Server in the <Prognosis_Home>\Server\Configuration directory:

[PAM]
Enabled=0
; Optional PAM configuration - authentication service to use,
; and TTY name to pass to PAM.
; Service = "login"
; TTY = "/dev/pts/0"
