Accessing the System Displays

Infrastructure includes a range of pre-packaged Displays specifically designed to present data collected from the monitored systems and applications. This topic will show how to access these Displays through the Web Application.

Navigation

The initial Data Displays for Infrastructure monitoring can be accessed from the Web Application by using any of the following navigation options:

  • Click on the 'Infrastructure' item in the first (Group) navigation pane. Then select 'All Servers', this will populate the second (Instance) navigation pane with the 'All Servers' item together with a list showing the name of each monitored server. Also, the 'Servers' Display will open in the main pane showing details of all servers.

  • Expand the 'Infrastructure' item in the in the first (Group) navigation pane. This will show a list of all server types that can be monitored, e.g. AIX, Linux, NonStop, Windows. Clicking on one of these types will populate the second (Instance) navigation pane with the 'All Servers' item together with a list showing the name of each monitored server of the type selected, e.g. Windows. Also, the 'Servers' Display will open in the main pane showing details only for those servers of the type selected.

  • Click on a server name in the second (Instance) navigation pane. This will open the 'Server Overview' Display for the server type selected, e.g. 'NonStop Server Overview', 'Windows Server Overview'.

  • Expand a server name in the second (Instance) navigation pane. This option is not available for all server types. Where available, this will show a list of server components, e.g. Disks, Partitions, Processes, Services. These items are shortcut links that when clicked will open the applicable 'Central' Display, e.g. Disk Central.
