Manual Switchover of the HA Pair

When it is necessary to switch over the Active and Passive modes in the HA Pair, manual operation is required. This is done using the Web Application - Administration Tool on the Management Server.

A Switchover is the process of making the currently Active server the Passive server and the currently Passive server the Active server. The Switchover is an activity that would occur when the Active server has a failure or is unresponsive. Other cases would include upgrading or performing maintenance on the servers.

To perform the switchover, follow these steps:

Logon to the Web Application - Administration Tool on the Management Server.

In the navigation panel on the left, click on High Availability. Access to this page is only available to users with appropriate permissions.

Disable Autofailover

If Autofailover not is configured then skip to Step 5.

From the HA Cluster list, locate the required 'Cluster name/Id' and click the Manage button.

Then click Disable Autofailover and confirm

From the HA Cluster list, locate the required 'Cluster name/Id' and click the Switchover/Switchback button.
