Reducing the Number of Data Fields in a Database Summary

When a Database Summary is created from an existing Database Collection document, the Database Summary will inherit all of the Record/Field information from the Database Collection. In order to reduce the amount of stored data, the Database Summary can be used to reduce the number of Records and/or fields to be stored. This is done through the Configuration tab of the Database Summary properties dialog box.

By highlighting a record in the list and selecting the icon the record will be removed from the Database Summary.

Also, if only specific fields need to be removed, double click on the record name to open the Data View Definition dialog box. Here any required fields for the selected record can be removed from the Database Summary.
