Database Summary Periods
When completing the Configuration tab of the Database Summary properties dialog, you can either use the check boxes to set the summary period to be from the beginning of the source data to the end, or you can select a specific 'Summary Period’.
From the drop down list the following 'Summary Period’ options are available:
User defined
Summarizes data for the period specified in the Start Date/Time and Stop Date/Time fields.
Today
Summarizes data from this morning at 00.00 to the end of the source data. A different end time may be specified in the Stop Date/Time field if required.
Example: If this afternoon a Database Summary is run using 'Today' as the Summary Period, data will be summarized from this morning at 00.00 until the most recent interval written to the database or to a specified end time.
This week
Summarizes data from Monday of the current week to the end of the source data. A different end time may be specified in the Stop Date/Time field if required.
Example: If on Tuesday a Database Summary is run using "This week" as the Summary Period, data will be summarized from Monday of this week until the most recent interval written to the database or to a specified end time.
This month
Summarizes data from the first of the month to the end of the source data. A different end time may be specified in the Stop Date/Time field if required.
Example: If on July 15th a Database Summary is run using "This month" as the Summary Period, data will be summarized from July 1st until the most recent interval written to the database or to a specified end time.
This year
Summarizes data from January 1st to the end of the source data. A different end time may be specified in the Stop Date/Time field if required.
Example: If on July 15th a Database Summary is run using "This year" as the Summary Period, data will be summarized from January 1st until the most recent interval written to the database or to a specified end time.
Yesterday
Summarizes data from the previous 24-hour period, starting at 00.00. A different end time may be specified in the Stop Date/Time field if required.
Example: If a Database Summary is run using 'Yesterday' as the Summary Period, data will be summarized from yesterday morning at 00.00 until last night at 11.59 or to a specified end time.
Last hour
Summarizes data from the previous 60 minutes. A different end time may be specified in the Stop Date/Time field if required.
Last week
Summarizes data from previous Monday to Sunday. A different end time may be specified in the Stop Date/Time field if required.
Example: If on Tuesday a Database Summary is run using 'Last week' as the Summary Period, data will be summarized from Monday last week until this past Sunday or to a specified end time.
Last month
Summarizes data from previous calendar month. A different end time may be specified in the Stop Date/Time field if required.
Example: If on July 15th a Database Summary is run using "Last month" as the Summary Period, data will be summarized from June 1st until June 30th or to a specified end time.
Last year
Summarizes data from the previous calendar year.
Example: If on July 15th a Database Summary is run using 'Last year' as the Summary Period, whatever data existed from January 1st until December 31st of the previous year will be summarized. A different end time may be specified if required.
