Controlling the Database Replay

When a Database Replay Display is open, the Control Bar can be used to control the replay of data from the database.

Web Application

In the Web Application, data can be viewed for each collection interval by using the database buttons and slide control located at the top of the screen.

Windows Client

The Database Control Bar in the Windows Client can be turned on and off from the View menu and individual buttons can be activated or deactivated through the Preferences dialog box of the options menu.


Control Bar Functions

Each version of the Control Bar contains the following functions:

Rewind to the beginning of the database.

Display the Database properties dialog box.

Page Backward through the intervals continuously. This causes the replay to automatically step back through each interval of data until the start-of-data.

Return to the previous interval

Pause the database replay.

Advance to the next interval.

Page Forward through the intervals continuously. This causes the replay to automatically step through each interval of data until the end-of-data.

Increase data granularity by decreasing the replay interval (time between data points) in pre-defined steps *.

Decease data granularity by increasing the replay interval (time between data points) in pre-defined steps *.



* The pre-defined interval steps are as follows:

1, 2, 5, 10 and 30 seconds

1, 2, 5, 10 and 30 minutes

1, 2, 6 and 12 hours

1 day, 1 week, 1month (30 days) and 3 months (91 days)

1 year (365 days), 2 years (730 days), 5 years (1826 days) and 10 years (3652 days)
