A Configuration can be started through either the Windows Client or Web Application - Administration tool. The following procedures show how this is done.
A Configuration can be started from the Administration tool of the Web Application. To do this use the following steps.
Open and login to the Web Application - Administration tool - Home page.
Select the required server by highlighting the server name in the Managed Server panel (2nd from left).
In the main panel scroll down to the 'Static Configurations' section.
Locate the required Configuration name. If the Configuration is not currently running this will be indicated by an adjacent red icon.
Click on the Configuration name, which will open the 'Update' page.
Click the Start button at the bottom of the page. Once started the Configuration will appear with a green icon in the main panel.
Using the Windows Client there are a variety of ways in which a Configuration can be started, these are detailed below:
Starting on all configured nodes
The following methods will start a Configuration on the nodes that have been configured in the 'Nodes to Run On' tab of the Configuration properties dialog box.
Double-click the Configuration document in the Document Navigator.
Highlight the required Configuration document in the Document Navigator then press Enter.
Drag and drop the Configuration document from the Document Navigator onto the workspace.
Right-click the required Configuration document in the Document Navigator and select Start from the displayed menu.
Starting on a selected node
Drag and drop the Configuration document from the Document Navigator onto the required node in the Nodes Navigator. The nodes set in the 'Nodes to Run On' tab of the properties dialog box will be ignored and the document will only start on the selected node.
