AVAYA_CONTACT Configuration Syntax

SUBSYS AVAYA_CONTACT

ADD AES (\<server_name>, ip=<ip_address>)
ADD AEP (\<server_name>, ip=<ip_address>)
ADD AACC (\<server_name>, ip=<ip_address>)

DEFINE TRAPPORT (#GlobalDefault, port=<port_number>)
DEFINE SQL_PROFILE (AACC_SQL_AVAYA, "Url=odbc:{InterSystemsODBC}; Server=<ip_address>; DATABASE=CCMS_STAT; PORT=1972; UID=$username$; PWD=$password$")
DEFINE SNMP_NODE_PROFILE (<ip_address>, Port=<port_number>, Version={2c|3}[, Authentication=Yes, AuthProtocol={MD5|SHA}, Encryption={No|Yes} [, EncryptionProtocol={DES|AES}]])

Syntax Elements

ADD AES, ADD AEP, ADD AACC

<server_name>

Name of the AES, AEP or AACC server.

ip=<ip_address>

IP address of the server.

DEFINE TRAPPORT

#GlobalDefault

Special keyword used to denote that this option applies to all configured PBXs. This keyword is mandatory as it does not support separate TRAPPORT settings for individual PBXs.

<port_number>

Ensure that the port number specified is the same as that configured in the AEP web interface.

DEFINE SQL_PROFILE

Server=<ip_address>

IP address of the AACC server

All other fields

Use the same text as shown

The port number must remain as 1972

The UID and PWD fields will be linked to the AACC_SQL_AVAYA entry in the PASSWORDS Configuration.

Examples:

ADD AES (\AES1, ip=10.102.1.89)

or

ADD AEP (\AEP1, ip=10.111.1.82)
DEFINE TRAPPORT (#GlobalDefault, port=162)

or

ADD AACC (\AACC1, ip=10.111.1.81)
DEFINE SQL_PROFILE (AACC_SQL_AVAYA, "Url=odbc:Driver={IntersystemsODBC}; Server=10.111.1.81; DATABASE=CCMS_STAT; PORT=1972; UID=$username$; PWD=$password$")

SNMP Authentication - AES and AEP

SNMP v3

If SNMP v3 is being used the DEFINE SNMP_NODE_PROFILE statement will need to be added to the AVAYA_CONTACT Configuration. As it is not possible to choose the Authentication and Encryption protocols in AEP, the default authentication protocol of MD5 and the default encryption protocol of AES can only be used.

DEFINE SNMP_NODE_PROFILE

<ip_address>

IP address of the AES or AEP server.

Port

The port number used by SNMP. Default is 161

Version

SNMP version number, in this case '3'.

Authentication

Enter 'Yes

AuthProtocol

Enter the Authentication Protocol being used, either 'MD5' or 'SHA'.

Encryption

Enter either 'Yes' or 'No'.

EncryptionProtocol

If Encryption is set to 'Yes', enter the protocol being used, either 'DES' or 'AES'.

If both Authentication (Security) and Encryption (Privacy) are set in the AEP SNMP Agent Settings, use the following statement:

DEFINE SNMP_NODE_PROFILE (<ip_address>, Port=<port_number>, Version=3, Authentication=YES, AuthProtocol={MD5|SHA}, Encryption=Yes, EncryptionProtocol={DES|AES})

If only Authentication (Security) is set, use the following statement:

DEFINE SNMP_NODE_PROFILE (<ip_address>, Port=<port_number>, Version=3, Authentication=YES, AuthProtocol={MD5|SHA}, Encryption=No)

SNMP v2c

If SNMP v2c is being used the DEFINE SNMP_NODE_PROFILE statement may be used to set an alternative port number.

DEFINE SNMP_NODE_PROFILE (<ip_address>, Port=<port_number>, Version=2c)
If a DEFINE SNMP_NODE_PROFILE statement is not defined, the default settings are SNMP v2c and port 161.
