Windows Client

Using the Windows Client, there are a variety of ways in which a Threshold can be started and stopped, these are detailed below:

Starting on all configured nodes

The following methods will start the Threshold on the nodes that have been configured in the Nodes to Run On tab of the Threshold properties dialog box.

  • Double-click the Threshold document in the Document Navigator.

  • Highlight the required Threshold document in the Document Navigator then press Enter.

  • Drag and drop the Threshold document from the Document Navigator onto the workspace.

  • Right-click the required Threshold document in the Document Navigator and select Start from the displayed menu.

Starting on a selected node

Drag and drop the Threshold document from the Document Navigator onto the required node in the Nodes Navigator. The nodes set in the Nodes to Run On tab of the properties dialog box will be ignored and the document will only start on the selected node.

Stopping on all configured nodes

In the Document Navigator, right-click on the required Threshold document then select Stop from the menu. This will stop the Threshold running on all nodes that have been configured in the Nodes to Run On tab of the Threshold properties dialog box.

Stopping on a selected node

From the Nodes Navigator select a node where the Threshold is running and expand the Thresholds list. Right-click on the required Threshold document then select Stop from the menu. This will stop the Threshold running only on the selected node. If the Threshold is running on other nodes, these will not be affected by this procedure.

When a Threshold that has an OFF EVENT defined is stopped and the Threshold has an event that has been logged but the corresponding OFF EVENT has not occurred, then the OFF EVENT will be logged when the Threshold stops.
