Starting Thresholds/Alerts

These Thresholds can be started from the initial configuration page through the Web Application. Otherwise, these Thresholds are not started by default and, if required, will need to be started manually. This can be done as follows:

Web Application:

Open the Web Application - Administration Tool. In the navigation panel click on the required Monitoring server and then go to the Thresholds section in the main panel. This section will show if the Thresholds are currently running or not. If they are not running, click the Start New button which will open a Threshold list. From the list scroll down to the Threshold name, click the adjacent radio button and then go to the end of the list and click the Start button. Wait until a prompt is displayed saying 'Threshold started successfully' and then click the OK button. Repeat this procedure for each required Threshold.

Windows Client:

Open the Cisco Monitoring Node Configuration Display (click the Configuration link at the top of the Cisco Cluster Overview Display) and go to the various Alerts windows. These windows will show if the Thresholds are currently running or not. If they are not running, click on the adjacent Start links.
